Recorded live in one take on Rhodes Island in 2017 and held in the archive until now, Tundra Voices arrives as a limited CD pressing - fifty copies, self-released on Bandcamp. The circumstances of its creation are audible in the best possible way.

Six tracks of dark ambient coldwave, improvised but coherent. Kriistal Ann’s vocal arrangements carry the spiritual weight the William Blake epigraph promises. The production leans closer to soundtrack than song - long, atmospheric pieces that hold their shape without overstaying. “Spirits of the Frozen Lake” is the moodiest entry and earns that distinction.

For a document of a single session from nearly a decade ago, it holds together remarkably well. Whether you come to it before or after IKONA will shape how you hear it - as origin or counterpoint. Either way, eight copies remaining at time of writing.
